How to write your faith profile in your own words

A few honest sentences can say more than a perfect-sounding statement.

Begin with what faith means to you

You do not need a sermon or a complete life story. Describe what your Christian faith means to you today. Perhaps it shapes how you treat others, gives you hope through difficult seasons, or helps you decide what matters most.

Your answer can be simple: “My faith helps me stay grounded and reminds me to treat people with kindness. I’m still growing, and I value honest conversations about what we believe.”

Show how it fits into everyday life

Add one or two details that feel true to you: prayer, Scripture, church community, volunteering, music, or quiet reflection. Mention what you actually do rather than what you think someone wants to hear.

You might write: “Prayer and helping in my community matter to me. I hope to meet someone who wants us to encourage each other and make faith part of everyday life together.” These are examples for inspiration, not scripts to copy.

Share what you hope to build

Explain what you would like to share with a partner. Is it attending church together, serving others, talking openly about faith, or building a family with shared values? Be specific without making a long list of demands.

Your denomination can appear separately. You can also choose not to label it. On Twizzle, your faith statement is optional, and you can edit it as your thoughts develop. Share only what you are comfortable showing other members; keep private addresses and identifying details out of your profile.
