Why I Created Twizzle

Years ago, I tried online dating. I liked the possibility of meeting someone new, but I wanted it to feel more personal. Nearly twenty years later, I found myself back there again, thinking, “I wish we could meet people the way we used to.”

But times have changed, and online dating is how many of us meet now. For me, it became repetitive—looking through profiles without feeling any closer to a real connection. Eventually, I got tired of the whole thing and stopped trying.

For Christian singles, there’s another challenge: finding someone who shares your faith and the way you want to live. In conversations with singles of different ages, including young adults, I’ve heard the same thing: they’d like to meet other Christian singles, but the opportunities within their own church can be limited.

That’s the purpose of Twizzle: helping Christian singles across Canada connect beyond their own church, in a way that feels personal, enjoyable and natural.
